On February 6, 2020, State Police in Clifton Park, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, arrested 24-year-old Karl R. Lurz of Clifton Park, for Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child (E felony) and Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (D felony).

Lurz is accused of possessing and uploading images consistent with child sexual exploitation via the internet. He was taken into custody after being located at his residence by investigators.
 
Lurz was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Clifton Park Town court on February 19, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
 
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
