PRESS RELEASE

Cold Case Tuesday: State Police continue to search for a man missing in Ontario County.

On January 7, 1983, Frank Fox, 22, was reported missing after walking home from a New Year’s Eve party.

On January 1, 1983, Fox left the party on Martin Road at approximately 1:00 a.m. to walk approximately one-mile home to his County Road 7 residence.   Fox was offered several rides home prior leaving, but declined all of them.

Fox attempted to walk home by cutting through the fields, as opposed to walking along County Road 7 in the town of Manchester.

A search of the land was completed by troopers, and a search of a few small bodies of water by State Police Divers had negative results.

Fox, who lived alone, has not been seen since the party and all leads have been exhausted.

At the time of his disappearance, Frank Fox was described as a white male, 5 foot 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police in Canandaigua at (585)-398-4100.
