PRESS RELEASE

On February 3, 2020 at approximately 10:57 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Franklin L. Reyes, age 30 of Endwell, NY for the felony of Aggravated Criminal Contempt (Violate Order of Protection) and the misdemeanors of Assault in the third degree and Menacing in the second degree.

A trooper and deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hooper Road in the town of Union after a reported 911 hang-up.  When the trooper arrived on scene and interviewed the victim, he observed that the victim had several bruises and cuts about the face.  An investigation revealed that Reyes also threatened the victim with a knife.

Reyes had already fled the scene but was located by troopers on Watson Boulevard.  Troopers further discovered that there was already an existing order of protection between the victim and Reyes.  Reyes also had an active bench warrant from the city of Binghamton.  He was arrested then transported to Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
