New York State Police K-9 “Theo” Finds Wanted Man

On Monday September 9th, New York State Police located a man in the Town of Veteran, who was wanted for Burglary and Petit Larceny out of the City of Cortland. James Perone, age 23 of Veteran, would not come out of his girlfriend’s residence when requested to by State Police. After several warnings from Police, K-9 “Theo” was released into the residence and “Theo” found Perone hiding in a closet. Perone was arrested for Obstruction of justice and is scheduled to appear in Veteran Town court at a later date. Perone was turned over to the Cortland City Police on the active warrants.
