PRESS RELEASE

Colonie, NY – On May 14, 2019, at approximately 2:05 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a traffic violation after observing the driver strike a concrete barrier in a construction zone.  The driver of the vehicle, Mark S. Tinklepaugh, 59, of North Hero, VT, was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Latham, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.26%.  He was subsequently charged with:
  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
Tinklepaugh was arraigned before the Town of Colonie Court and was remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $750 cash bail or a $2000 bond.
