On February 10, 2020, State Police at SP Capital arrested 25-year-old Khadijah M. Buckman of Troy, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree- Intent to Sell (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 4th degree (C felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (D felony).

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Monday, State Police stopped a vehicle on Loudonville Road in Latham for a traffic infraction. While interviewing the driver of the vehicle, the Trooper could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the car.

A subsequent search revealed a small quantity of marijuana located under the front passenger seat, as well as a quantity of heroin located in the trunk. While Troopers interviewed the occupants of the vehicle, Buckman claimed ownership of the contraband. Further search of her person determined that she was also in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, and several glassine envelopes containing heroin.

Buckman was transported to SP Capital where she was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Albany City Court on February 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
