On October 1, 2019 State Police in Latham arrested 22-year-old Ali Sheroze of Latham, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st degree (C felony).
Shortly before 3:00 a.m. this morning, State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on Scully Ave. in Colonie after it was observed operating without a headlight.
When the Trooper interviewed the operator, Ali Sheroze, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed that Sheroze was in possession of counterfeit US currency. Eighty counterfeit $100 bills were located in the vehicle’s center console, and another 294 counterfeit $100 bills were located in a backpack on the rear seat.
Sheroze was taken into custody and transported to SP Latham for processing. He was released on an appearance ticket for Colonie Town Court on October 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
