On Wednesday January 15, 2020 prior to 11:00a.m. a neighbor observed an occupant of a BMW take an envelope from a mailbox at a residence in Bethpage, NY.  When the BMW left scene the neighbor followed the BMW onto the Southern State Parkway.  The neighbor was on the phone with State Police communications and gave the location of the BMW.  The BMW was traveling eastbound on the Southern State Parkway near exit 41N, town of Islip, Suffolk County, and was stopped by the State Police.  Further investigation revealed the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of  a credit card which did not belong to either them.  The driver, Luis E. Garcia, 29 of Bronx, NY and passenger, Frailin F. Guzman, 28 of Bronx, NY were both charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree an E Felony and were each issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Suffolk County First District Court on January 29, 2020.
