East Syracuse Mother arrested for burning four-year old child
State Police arrested Halima J. St Louis, age 33, from East Syracuse for Assault in the 2nd degree, a class "D" felony and Endangering the welfare of a child, a class "A" misdemeanor.  (more)

DWI arrest on State Route 14 A in Penn Yan
Around 9 pm on Tuesday April 26th, New York State Police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver traveling southbound on State Route 14A.  The driver of the vehicle initially stated she had not been drinking, but failed standard road side sobriety tests.  (more)

Erratic Driver Arrested for Drugs and wanted on a warrant
While on Patrol in the Town of Horseheads, New York State Police observed a vehicle operated by Jeffery Paul, changing lanes unsafely on Corning Road in the Town of Horseheads. Paul, told officers that he had smoked marihuana earlier in the day.  (more)

Driving in Circles in the Village of Elmira Heights leads to a DWI Arrest
While on routine patrol, New York State Police observed a Toyota Camry driving in circles on College Avenue in the Village of Elmira Heights. When Trooper interviewed the driver of the vehicle, Robert Smith, he could not explain why he was driving in circles.  (more)

Drunk Driver on Grand Central Avenue in the Town of Horseheads
On Saturday April 23rd, New York State Police observed a vehicle crossing the center lane of traffic three times on Grand Central Ave in the Town of Horseheads. The driver of the vehicle, William Rodgers, told officers he was on his way home from a “Bonfire” and only had one beer.  (more)

Man in Boxer Shorts Threatens NYSEG Employee
New York State Police responded to Dansville Street in the Village of Cohocton on Wednesday, April 27th , to assist a NYSEG employee who was being threatened by a resident. The NYSEG employee properly identified themselves and asked to collect an outstanding bill of $55 or the power would be shut off.  (more)

Walmart Employee caught Stealing Cash
On Tuesday, April 26th, New York State Police responded to the Walmart in the Town of Erwin for a complaint of larceny. Walmart Loss Prevention, told State Police that an employee, Kathleen Cole, had been observed taking cash on 9 separate occasions, totaling $260.00.   (more)

Routine Traffic stop leads to arrest for Suspended License
A vehicle traveling east on Interstate 86 in the Town of Bath on Tuesday April 26th, was observed with no rear tail lamp. The driver of the vehicle, Terry Ainey, had a Pennsylvania identification card and was found to have an expired Pennsylvania and New York State Driver’s License. Ainey’s license had been suspended 6 times on 3 separate occasions.   (more)
