3 arrested after a 4 month investigation in Steuben County
On September 29, 2016, a 4 month investigation by the New York State Police in conjunction with the Steuben Co. District Attorney’s Office, has led to the arrest of 3 subjects on methamphetamine related charges. At 6:00 A.M. this morning, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Jason A. Shinebarger, from the hamlet of Stephens Mills, in the Town of Fremont. The N.Y.S.P. Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) assisted with the execution of the warrant, which yielded a quantity of methamphetamine; the components and equipment used in the manufacture of methamphetamine; firearms; and cash. The N.Y.S.P. Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (C.C.S.E.R.T.) also responded to the scene, for remediation purposes. Shinebarger, age 40, as well as Charles W. France, age 34, of Arkport, and Thomas C. Harrison, age 33, of  Hornell, were each charged with 1 count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, 3rd degree (more)

Troopers and the Palmyra Police Department arrest teens for Burglary
On September 29, 21016, the State Police and the Palmyra Police Department arrested three males, ages sixteen and seventeen years, for Burglary in the third degree. Two of the males were also charged with Arson in the fifth degree. The arrests stem from a burglary to the Palmyra-Macedon School District’s concession stand, located at 163 Hyde Parkway, Palmyra, New York. (more)

Troopers looking to identify 3 females who may be responsible for a Criminal Mischief

Troopers at SP Painted Post are investigating vandalism to Kinsella Park, Gang Mills, which occurred during the night of 09/20/16. The vandals spray painted graffiti on playground equipment, benches, and the pavilion. Troopers are attempting to identify and interview three females who purchased spray paint at the Painted Post Walmart at approximately 9:30pm that Tuesday evening.
