PRESS RELEASE
On January 6, 2021 at approximately 8:40 p.m., a State Trooper patrolling the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Stony Point observed a 2014 BMW traveling west in violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle and the operator fled. The vehicle struck a guide rail on the ST-293 on ramp and came to a stop. The operator of the vehicle, Trevor S. Calder, age 37 of Bronx, NY was taken into custody and issued 18 tickets. The pursuit reached a top speed of 105 mph and covered 4 miles. Calder was also charged with Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 3rd degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree (all misdemeanors) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree, a violation. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Stony Point Town Court on February 4, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
