Albany, NY – On May 28, 2020, at approximately 9:00 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the city of Albany for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Keith V. Thomas, 43, of Albany, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 13.2 grams of K25 (phentermine hydrochloride), which is a Schedule 4 controlled substance.  Also during a probable cause search of the vehicle a switchblade knife was located.

 

Thomas was arrested, transported, and processed at SP Albany where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor.

 

Thomas transported to Albany County Jail to await arraignment.
