Coeymans, NY – On November 3, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., State Police stopped a car on I-87 in the town of Coeymans for a vehicle and traffic violation. While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established. The passenger, Jamil M. Jordan, 32, of Albany, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine and 5 decks (approximately 1 gram) of heroin, while in the presence of an 11-year old child in the vehicle.
Jordan was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 3rd degree; both Class B Felonies and Endangering the Welfare of a Child; a Class A Misdemeanor.
Jordan was transported to the Albany County Jail to await arraignment.
