Albany Man Arrested for Grand Larceny, Coercion

New York State Police Investigators based out of the Latham barracks have announced the arrest of Dyaire Holt, age 22, of Albany, NY.  Investigators state that Holt used another person’s bank account to conduct fraudulent transactions and ultimately stole over $8,600 from the person’s bank account through extortion and coercion. Holt was arrested on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at an apartment complex in Troy, NY and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Coercion 1st degree, and Grand Larceny 2nd degree, both felonies. Holt was charged in both the Town of Colonie and City of Cohoes for his crimes. He was arraigned in both local courts, and sent to the Albany County Jail on $7,500 cash bail/bond (Colonie), and $10,000 cash bail/bond (Cohoes).
