On February 18, 2020, State Police in Guilderland arrested 37-year-old Michael P. Vance of Albany, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor), Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), False Personation (B misdemeanor), and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree (misdemeanor).

State Police stopped Vance shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Monday, after he was observed traveling down Washington Avenue in Albany without any headlights.

While interviewing Vance, troopers observed signs of drug use, Vance also provided them with a false name when asked for identification. A subsequent search revealed that Vance was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and diazepam, both controlled substances.

Vance was transported to SP Guilderland for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket for Albany City Court on March 9, 2020 and 9:00 a.m.
