Allegany yard sale leads to burglary charge

On August 30, 2019, SP Olean Troopers arrested William C. Carmona, 18, of Allegany, NY for Burglary 3rd Degree.

Troopers investigating a burglary in progress at a vacant residence on East Union Street in the village of Allegany determined Carmona had unlawfully entered the property and was selling items from within at a yard sale.

Carmona was arrested and arraigned in Allegany Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond. He is due to appear in Allegany Village Court at a later date.
