On November 16, 2020, at approximately 6:49 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a menacing at a residence on State Route 11, in the town of Bangor.

An investigation revealed that 37-year-old Jonathan T. Cage of Syracuse, brandished a knife and threatened the victims. He then broke a coffee table inside the residence and slashed the tires on a vehicle, before fleeing on foot. Cage was located and arrested on State Route 11.  He was found to be in possession of a quantity of synthetic marihuana.  Cage was charged with Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree.  He was virtually arraigned by the Bombay Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Cage is scheduled to reappear in the Bangor Town Court at a later date.
