Buffalo, NY – On May 22, 2021, at approximately 12:15 a.m., State Police responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on I-90 in the city of Buffalo.  The investigation revealed a 2020 Toyota Rav4 struck a concrete barrier.  The uninjured driver, Thomas J. Mellody, 27, of Amherst, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  

Mellody was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Buffalo, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%.  He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.

Mellody was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on June 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
