Amsterdam, NY – On May 17, 2020, at approximately 10:50 p.m., State Police stopped a car on I-90 in the city of Amsterdam for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established.  The driver, Brandon J. Pileckas, 43, of Amsterdam, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 76 grams of steroids, 30 grams of methamphetamine, 2.3 grams of fentanyl, and 3 packages of naloxone sublingual film. 

 

Further investigation revealed there was an active stay away order against Pileckas from the passenger in the vehicle, as well as a Bench warrant out of Saratoga County. 

 

Pileckas was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Fultonville where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 3rd degree; a Class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony, and Criminal Contempt (Disobeying a Court Order); a Class A Misdemeanor.

 

Pileckas was arraigned and remanded to Montgomery County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
