Angelica traffic stop leads to DWI, gun charges for Alvin man

On August 11, 2019, SP Amity Troopers arrested Brent C. Bolin, 45, of Alvin, NY for Driving While Intoxicated and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.

During a traffic stop on Interstate 86 in the town of Angelica, Bolin was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Bolin was then arrested and transported to SP Amity, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.15% BAC. Subsequent to his arrest, two pistols for which Bolin did not have a permit were discovered in his vehicle.

Bolin was released with appearance tickets for Angelica Town Court, where he is due to appear in September.
