Arrest made in Greenport stabbing

 

Greenport, NY - On December 3, 2022, the New York State Police responded to a residence on Otty Drive in the town of Greenport for a stabbing incident. 

 

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries to the chest and neck and was transported to Albany Medical Center for emergency surgery. 

 

The suspect, Louis C. Lowman, age 48, of Greenport, was subsequently arrested for Assualt in the 1st degree, Attempted Murder in the 2nd degree, both class B felonies, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony. 

 

Lowman was arraigned before the town of Greenport Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
