FATHER/DAUGHTER ARRESTED ON THRUWAY WITH DRUG LACED CANDY

On 3/05/12 at 11:23 AM the New York State Police, SP Albany, stopped a vehicle south bound on the New York State Thruway in the Town of Coxsackie, Greene County, NY for a traffic violation. After stopping the vehicle they found over a pound of Marihuana and approximately 40 lbs of hard candy that was laced with Concentrated Cannabis. The candy pieces were packaged in bags by flavor. The various flavors were butter rum, cherry, coffee, guava, orange, pomegranate, root beer and sour apple. The 2 occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
The driver of the vehicle, Gary D. Fox, age 48, Swan Rd, Reading, MA was charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th. His daughter, Kayla D. Fox, age 24, Grand St, NY, NY, who was a passenger in the car was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th. Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Catskill Court and remained to the Greene County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.
