Forgery Arrest in the village of Canton
On 10/18/12, at 11:05am, New York State Police in Canton arrested 36 year old Shawn M. Thornhill from Heuvelton for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th and Criminal Trespass stemming from a complaint about a stolen cell phone from a camp on the Mackin Road in South Russell.
Thornhill was released with an Appearance Ticket to appear before the Town of Russell Court to answer the Criminal Trespass charge on 11/05/12. He is to answer the Criminal Possession of Stolen Property charge in the Town of Oswegatchie Court on 11/07/12.
In a separate investigation, Shawn M. Thornhill was also arrested for Forgery 2nd and Criminal Impersonation 2nd stemming from impersonating another person during a vehicle and traffic stop in the Village of Canton on June 22, 2012.
He was additionally issued traffic tickets in his name charging him for an Unregistered Trailer and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd. Thornhill was arraigned in Canton Court before Hon. Justice Christopher Curley on those charges. He was Released Under the Supervision of Probation until his next court date (10/30/12 at 9:30am).
