Accident in Mt. Morris Leads to an Aggravated DWI Arrest
On December 3, 2012 at approximately 4:10 pm a Dodge Intrepid failed to yield the right of way and took a left in front of a Chevrolet Cavalier. The Cavalier then struck then Intrepid. During the accident investigation, Trooper Steve Sick, SP Geneseo, detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver of the Cavalier who was identified as Daniel J. Hogan, 57, of Mount Morris, NY. Hogan subsequently perfomred standardized field sobriety tests in which he failed. He was arrested for DWI and transported to SP Geneseo where he registered a .18% BAC. He was charged with Felony Aggravated DWI since he had 2 prior DWI convictions and his BAC was .18% or more. Hogan was arraigned and will return to the Village of Mt. Morris court on January 9, 2012 at 5:00 pm.
