State Police in Painted Post arrest Father and son on drug charges and more
TheNew York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the New York State Police Troop E Bureau of Criminal Investigation report the arrest of Jonathan A. Fernandes, 35, of Bradford, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree (AII Felony).
Following an investigation, the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCERT) executed a search warrant at Fernandes’s residence where a quantity of Methamphetamine was located and seized.
During the execution of the Search Warrant, Joseph L. Fernandes Jr., 57, of Bradford, NY was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, for interfering with the investigation.
Along with the Methamphetamine that was seized, a quantity of firearms were also seized.
Both Fernandes’s were processed at SP Bath and arraigned in the Bradford Town Court. Jonathan Fernandes was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. Joseph Fernandes was remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash / $10,000.00 property bond.
State Police was assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office
