A Lebanon Springs man was arrested for domestic violence charges for the second time in ten months Saturday evening. David Dunavin, 40, was charged for destroying property in the victim's home, causing approximately $1,000 damage, for punching and kicking the victim and for threatening her safety. Dunavin violated an order of protection during this incident and had also done so earlier in the week. Trooper Eric Harris charged Dunivan with 2 counts of felony Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, felony Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree. Dunivan was arraigned and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail. He will return to the New Lebanon Town Court on January 31st.
Dunavin was arrested in March of last year for another incident during which he broke the same female victim's ribs in front of her child. Those actions saw him arrested for three counts and the order of protection that was just violated put in place.
