Fulton Man Arrested after fleeing from Accident Scene in Salina

(North Syracuse, NY - January 27, 2013) - State Police in North Syracuse investigated a one car accident that occurred around 11 am this morning on Interstate 81 in the Town of Salina, Onondaga County.

The investigation revealed that Jeffery C. Freeman, age 30, from 16 West 11th Street in the City of Fulton, was northbound on Interstate 81 when he lost control of a 1995 Toyota Corolla, causing the vehicle to exit off the east side of the highway, striking a fence and subsequently a tree.  Freeman then exited the vehicle and fled the scene prior to patrols arrival.  Troopers were able locate Freeman in the City of fulton who was wanted by the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office on a traffic warrant. 

Freeman was charged with Leaving the scene of a property damage accident, Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.  He was taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $7,500 bail.
