SP Jamestown - Kennedy man arrested for Felony DWI
David E. Workman, 58, of Kennedy was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated on Friday, March 22 at approximately 8:00 PM. Workman was observed pulled over onto the shoulder of Route 394 in Kennedy. The trooper pulled over to see if any assistance was needed and Workman began to drive away. While he pulled away, the trooper observed Workman not wearing his seatbelt. Workman was found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests and arrested. He was taken to SP Jamestown for processing where he refused to submit to a breath test. It was subsequently learned that Workman had a suspended driver license and a previous Driving While Intoxicated conviction in the last 10 years. Workman was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, Refusal to Take A Breath Test and No Seatbelt. He was arraigned in Poland Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
