Call for Tow Truck Leads to Grand Larceny Arrest

The New York State Police Troopers and Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Livingston arrested Latif Gina, 19 of Pleasantvale, NY for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degeee, a Class A Misdemeanor and False Personation, a Class B Misdemeanor.

On 3/25/13 Troopers Radewitz and Buttenhof out of the Livingston Barracks were patrolling the Taconic State Parkway. They stopped to assist a disabled motorist at approximately 2 am and upon interviewing the operator and subsequent DMV database checks, it was discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen out of East Chester, NY.

NYSP working with the East Chester Police Department determined that the operator had stolen the vehicle from a residence on 3/24/13.

The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Livingston Court in front of the Honorable Robert Q. Moore. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail with no bail.
