New York State Police arrest Catskill resident for drug possession.

Catskill, NY - March 26, 2013
         Following an eight month investigation into the sale of narcotics in the Town and Village of Catskill.  State Police Catskill, charged Kareem B Williams  35 years of age  for three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony), and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree (Class B Felony). 

         The Arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into narcotic sales in the Village and Town of Catskill being conducted by the State Police, Town of Cairo Police, Village of Catskill Police, and the Greene County District Attorneys Office.  Williams was located and arrested by Village of Catskill Police on March 24, 2013 on an arrest warrant issued by Greene County Judge Charles M Tailleur JR, following a Grand Jury Indictment.  Williams was also found to possess cocaine during his arrested and was additionally charged with the A Misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.   

        Williams was remanded to the Greene County Jail pending arraignment in Greene County Court.  The State Police CNET Community Narcotics Enforcement Team Capital District and the Capital Region Drug Enforcement Task Force assisted during the investigation.
