Mid-Afternoon Malta Traffic Stop Leads to Aggravated DWI Charge
A vehicle and traffic stop by SP Saratoga Troopers on Route 9 in the Town of Malta just prior to 4:00pm on 04/03/13 lead to the arrest of a Gansevoort man for Aggravated DWI. Roger A. Froude (50yoa) was observed driving a 2000 Ford F-150 in an erratic manor as he passed through the round-a-bout at the intersection of State Route 67, State Route 9, and Dunning Street. An open container of vodka and orange juice was in the Ford at the time of the stop. A breath test showed Froude's blood alcohol content to be 0.19% resulting in a charge of Aggravated DWI. Froude was released on multiple tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Malta Court on 04/11/13 at 5:00P.M. Town of Malta Animal Control Officer, Dominick Refino, assisted by securing two dogs that were in Froude's pick up.
