Burglary suspects arrested in Ellenburg Depot, may be linked to multiple burglaries.

On September 19, 2013 at around 8 p.m., New York State Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 1221 Plank Road, town of Ellenburg. Upon arriving on scene, it was determined that there were two suspects who had fled the unoccupied residence, into the wooded area behind the home. After a search of the immediate area, the two suspects were taken into custody. Brandon S. Duby, 22 years old and Tara L. Reynolds, 34 years old, both of Peru, were arrested and charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony. They were arraigned in the Town of Ellenburg Court, Reynolds was remanded to Clinton County Jail with no bail, and Duby was remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, $40,000 bond. Both are scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Ellenburg Court on October 10, 2013 at 6 p.m.
The State Police were assisted in the search by the United States Border Patrol and United States Border Patrol Aviation.
This investigation is still ongoing. Since the arrest of Duby and Reynolds, numerous other burglaries throughout Clinton and Essex counties have been determined to be linked to the pair. More charges are pending and further information will be released at a later date.
