SP Jamestown - Buffalo man arrested after traffic stop in Gerry
October 9/ Gerry/ Taihek D. Quarles 36, of Buffalo was arrested after being stopped for speeding on Route 60 in Gerry Wednesday night. Quarles was observed going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. Upon interviewing Quarles, it was learned that he possessed a suspended NYS driver license with 13 suspensions on 8 different dates. It was also learned that Quarles had two active bench warrants from the City of Jamestown. One warrant was for Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree and the other was for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree. Quarles was issued citations for another charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree, Speeding, Improper Child Restraint (for the 5 and 3 year old children in the vehicle), Improper Plates and Unlicensed Operation for holding an expired ID card. He was taken to the Jamestown Police Department for execution of the warrants and will be in Gerry Court later for the traffic charges.
