Cobleskill, NY- It has become a tradition for Troopers assigned to SP Cobleskill, SP Princetown, SP Fonda and SP Mayfield .  Each year around the holiday season, the troopers assigned to these stations open their hearts and wallets to a deserving family or individual.  Often times the family or individuals are victims of a tragedy.   This year the individual was an 8 year old girl who was a victim of a crime.  The story of this victim so touched the hearts of the troopers that investigated this crime, that they decided arresting the perpetrator of the crime was not enough.  Troopers from several stations decided to make this holiday a special one.  Together the stations raised more than $1000, and purchased a slew of gifts for the young victim.  On Thursday December 19th, with the help of Schoharie County Child Protective workers the gifts were delivered, just in time for Christmas.  Also a portion of the money raised was put in a trust account to be used toward a new swing set for the 8 year old's new home.  The Troopers of Troop G Zone 3 hope that this small act of kindness will help to ensure that the young child has a very Merry Christmas.
