(West Seneca, NY)
On Tuesday March 4, 2014 State Police in Troop T were advised to be on the lookout for a black 2006 Volkswagen Passat headed westbound on I-90. The driver of the vehicle Angela J. Lavallo, 18, of Broadalbin, NY, took the Passat without permission from the owner.
Through the use of a cell phone "ping", police knew she was headed west on I-90 and approaching the Town of West Seneca. A State Trooper spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the Lackawanna Toll Barrier.
Lavallo was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, a class A misdemeanor. She was arraigned in the Town of West Seneca Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on $1,500 bail. Her court date is scheduled for Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 9:00 am.
The vehicle is to be returned to it’s owner, a 48-year-old woman, also a resident of Broadalbin, NY, a town north west of Albany.
