Claverack, New York – On May 8, 2014 at approximately 3:55 p.m., State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested John Hopkins, 42 years old, of Ghent, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Columbia County 911 broadcasted an erratic vehicle complaint and troopers located the vehicle a short time later on Stottville Road.  While interviewing the operator identified as Hopkins, troopers observed clues that indicated that Hopkins was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Hopkins provided a positive breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .31%, almost four times the legal limit of intoxication.  Hopkins was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and ordered to appear in the town of Livingston Court on May 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.
