Tupper Lake man arrested for DWI
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Major Richard Smith
Troop B Commander
On June 26, 2014, at approximately 2:30 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 3 in the town of Harrietstown on a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer. Troopers stopped the vehicle after it passed their patrol car in a no-passing zone, traveling west.
The operator, 24-year-old Michael D. Lamica of Tupper Lake, was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Lamica refused all sobriety testing, including a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content.
Lamica was charged with DWI and further ticketed for passing in a no-passing zone, following too closely, no front plate, and failure to submit to DWI field testing.
Lamica was arraigned at the Town of Harrietstown Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to reappear at the court on July 21, 2014, at 4 p.m.
