 SP Lockport – Lockport Woman Arrested for Felony DWI and Leandra’s Law
On June 24, 2014, New York State Police arrested Courtney L. Condren, age 19, for Aggravated DWI with a Child in the Vehicle less than 16 years old-1st Offense, a Class E Felony, Leandra’s Law, a Class A Misdemeanor, DWI 1st Offense, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs-1st Offense, both Misdemeanors.
During a traffic stop, the Trooper who is a Drug Recognition Expert assisted Niagara County Sheriff with multiple occupants in a vehicle one of which was under the age of 16. While the Trooper interviewed the operator Courtney L. Condren, he detected an odor marihuana eminating from within the vehicle. The Trooper had Condren perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests and subsequently was arrested and transported to State Police Lockport where he also performed a Drug Recognition Evaluation, which indicated drug use.
Condren was arraigned in the Town of Royalton Court and remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500cash or $5,000 bond.
