Underage Alcohol Sale Arrests

On Thursday December 22, 2016, the New York State Police Barracks in Riverside conducted an Underage Drinker Enforcement Operation in Southampton, East Quogue and Hampton Bays.  During the operation, two establishments were cited for selling alcoholic beverages to an underage State Police operative.

Arrested and charged with Unlawful Dealing with a Child in the First Degree and Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage were:

Alim Atalay, age 47, of Riverhead, clerk at Empire Mini Mart on Montauk Highway in E. Quogue, NY.

Daniel Walsh, age 61, of Southampton, clerk at Lamp Lighter Wine and Liquors on Jagger Lane in Southampton, NY.

Mr. Atalay was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Southampton Town Court.  Mr. Walsh was issued an appearance ticket to the Village of Southampton Court. Both will appear at a later date.
