Rochester, NY man arrested for DWI and possessing concentrated cannabis

Albany, NY – On January 6, 2017, at approximately 8:30 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations.  The driver of the vehicle, Gordon F. Specht, 57, of Rochester, NY, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of concentrated cannabis.  He was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany, where he refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol content in his system.  Specht was subsequently charged with:
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree; a Class C Felony
  • Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Specht was arraigned before the City of Albany Court and was remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
