Mastic man arrested with two forged licenses and marihuana after a stop

Dickinson, NY – March 20, 2017) On March 19, 2017, at about 1:15 p.m., New York State Police at Gateway arrested Vincenzo A. Valente, age 19, of Mastic, NY for two counts of the felony of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. 

This arrest occurred after a traffic stop when Valente was observed speeding at 82 mph when the speed limit was 55 mph on Interstate 81 in the Town of Dickinson.  After detecting marihuana inside the vehicle a search was conducted.  Valente was found to unlawfully possess about 12 grams of marihuana, and two forged driver licenses. 

After arraignment, Valente was sent to the Broome County Jail with no bail set.  His next court date in the Town of Dickinson is pending.
