Fairlee, VT Man Arrested for Aggravated DWI and a Loaded Handgun after Hit-and-Run Accident

Schodack, NY – On March 20, 2017, at approximately 3:34 a.m., State Police responded to a report of a two vehicle hit-and-run collision on I-90 at Exit B1.  The investigation revealed that a GMC pickup truck struck the rear of a Kia and fled the scene.  The vehicle was stopped a short distance away and the driver, Jason T. Daley, 21, of Fairlee, VT, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of a loaded handgun.  He was transported and processed at SP Albany where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20%.  Daley was subsequently charged with:
  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree; a Class C Felony
  • Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Daley was arraigned before the Town of Schodack Court and was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or bond.
