Albany, NY man arrested for Felony DWI

 Albany, NY – On March 23, 2017, at approximately 10:53 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Stanley E. Karwan, 57, of Albany, NY, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP Albany, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.13%.  Additionally, he has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and as a result was subsequently charged with:    
Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony
Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Karwan was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Albany Court on April 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
