SP Jamestown - Jamestown man arrested following traffic stop

On March 25th, 2017, the New York State Police arrested Matthew Carlson, 44, of Jamestown, for Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Carlson was pulled over on Route 430 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Carlson was placed under arrest. When a bag containing marijuana was found in Carlson’s possession he was additionally charged with UPM. Carlson was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .13. Carlson was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ellicott Court and released. Carlson is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court later in the month to answer the charges.
