Rochester Man Arrested For 3rd Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana

On 3/25 at approximately 1:15 a.m., the New York State Police in Rochester arrested Casey Sherman, 36, of Rochester, following a traffic stop on Mt. Read Blvd. for erratic operation observed in I-490. While being interviewed, Mr. Sherman displayed several signs of intoxication and was arrested after failing roadside field sobriety tests. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. A DMV inquiry revealed Mr. Sherman had 2 prior DWI convictions and was in violation of an interlock restriction. He was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (prior DWI conviction) and numerous traffic charges. He was then taken to the Monroe County Jail to be arraigned in the City of Rochester Court the following morning.
