Albany, NY man was arrested for possessing more than 6 pounds of marijuana

Guilderland, NY – On April 5, 2017, at approximately 9:21 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for a traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Jamel L. Hines, 33, of Albany, NY, was found to be in possession of more than 6 pounds of marijuana.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany, where he was subsequently charged with:  
  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd Degree; a Class D Felony
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violation
Hines was arraigned before the Town of  Guilderland Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail with no bail, Hines set to reappear today’s date at 5:00 p.m. in the Town of Guilderland Court.
