Update: State Police investigate a robbery in Bangor

Updated Information: The State Police ask that any business in Northern Franklin, St. Lawrence and Clinton counties that has taken in any $2 bills recently to contact SP Malone at (518) 483-5000.
Original release: Malone-based State Police are investigating a robbery which occurred on Friday, May 5, 2017, at approximately 9 p.m. on County Route 16, (Bacon Road) in the town of Bangor.
Two male suspects forced their way into a residence and demanded money from the elderly victim. The suspects are described as the following: first suspect is described as having a dark complexion and dark hair, approximately 5’ 4 – 5’6”, 130 pounds, wearing a red sweatshirt (possibly a hoodie). The second suspect is described as taller than the first suspect, and wore a light colored shirt, possibly tan or gray, no further description.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. They fled the scene in a vehicle, unknown direction of travel. No weapons were displayed during the course of the robbery.
