On May 12, 2017, New York State Police arrested an additional subject from the investigation involving a one-car property damage motor vehicle crash that occurred on May 8, 2017, on State Route 190 in the town of Altona.
Adam D. Westover, 24, of Willsboro, left the accident scene prior to the arrival of the responding Troopers. In addition to the methamphetamine precursors, heroin and lab equipment located at the accident scene, Westover was in possession of additional methamphetamine precursors, lab equipment and a small amount of marihuana once he was located several hours later. He was arrested for two counts of Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
Westover was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Altona Court on May 16, 2017, at 7pm.
The investigation remains ongoing.
