Troop B Centennial Brick Project
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Major John H. Tibbitts Jr.
Troop B Commander
The New York State Police in Troop B is reconstructing the area around the flag poles at Troop Headquarters as part of our Centennial Celebration. The grassy area is going to be replaced with engraved pavers to forever memorialize the service of those members, sworn and non-sworn, who have worked in Troop B.
Similar to War Memorials and other Police Memorials in New York and across the nation, our vision is that this monument will permanently preserve, with dignity and respect, State Police service to Troop B.
We are attempting to reach out to all retired members who ever worked in Troop B, and family members of deceased former troopers who may not have heard about this endeavor. The following pertains to our project:
Once the bricks are ordered, engraved and installed, no additional bricks will ever be sold or installed again – so this truly is a one-time opportunity that will allow a member to leave their legacy for others to see for generations.
The deadline to order these bricks is June 1, 2017. Anyone wishing to obtain an order form may do so by calling First Sergeant Patrick Jones (518) 897-2051, Trooper James D’Ambro (518) 897-2098, or Trooper Jennifer Fleishman (518) 897-2061.
Pictured is an example of what the pavers will look like.
