Hartsdale, NY man arrested for possessing Cocaine and Marijuana.

 Newburgh, NY – On June 16, 2017, at approximately 5:25 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Newburgh for an equipment violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Emil M. Zippo, age 28, of Hartsdale, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 3 grams of Cocaine, and 8.7 grams of Marijuana. The driver of the vehicle was issued tickets for multiple vehicle and traffic violations and released. Zippo was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh, where he was subsequently charged with:    
 
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree; a Class D Felony.
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation.                                       
 
 
Zippo was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2500. Cash or $5000. Bond. He was scheduled to reappear in the Town of Newburgh Court on June 27, 2017, at 4:00 p.m.
